You’re a Pizza Ship

You’re a pizza delivery ship tasked with collecting ingredients and creating the most impressive pizza, made for Alakajam 10 with Brainoid.

This was an ambitious project that never quite hit the quality mark nor was well balanced! However, we were inspired by games with node-like traversal through the world, where the player is presented with choice-events. We wanted combat to be abstracted into a simple game, so went for a matching-pair game, where matching cannons would damage the enemy and matching ingredients would provide ingredients for the pizza making part of the game. Some of the choice-events were resolved by creating pizzas, which consisted of a timing-based game where you dropped ingredients onto a spinning pizza plate.

Both mini games ended up lacking in the fun factor, but ultimately for a weekend we were happy with what we were able to deliver. Brainoid did a great job with a silly sound track!
